The Charmant, La Crosse Wisconsin, The Kubala Washatko Architects, AIA-Wisconsin 2018 Award
This project involved the substantial renovation of a historic chocolate factory in downtown La Crosse a block away from the Mississippi river. A rooftop bar and guestrooms were added under the strict regulation of the national park service. The specifications specifically had to be very clear and detailed on the cleaning and restoration of the existing brick and some windows considered critical for the maintaining the historic nature of the building.
